One night, inside out

When the outside is about nothing and the inside is about everything. That is when you lose your senses. And as you get permeated with the moment and the feeling. It all comes to you. The meaning of the moment and living it. And I am living this moment. And I am breathing this feeling. And it comes to me again. The beat breathes through my soul. And I am seeing this city in a different light tonight than I ever did before.

When the outside
Is about nothing
And the inside
Is about everything
That
Is when
You lose
Your senses

And
As you get permeated
With the moment
And the feeling
It all comes to you
The meaning
Of the moment
And living it

And
I am living
This moment
And
I am breathing
This feeling
And it comes
To me again

The beat
Breathes
Through my soul
And
I am seeing
This city
In a different light tonight
Than I ever did before

And I am seeing this city in a different light tonight than I ever did before. The beat breathes through my soul. And it comes to me again. And I am breathing this feeling. And I am living this moment. The meaning of the moment and living it. It all comes to you. And as you get permeated with the moment and the feeling. That is when you lose your senses. When the outside is about nothing and the inside is about everything.

living the moment should be every man's motto irrespective of cast or creed, 'cos this moment is history the next second.it ain't gonna come back.no chance to change it, or relive it.after all life's a flower which may get cut any second.

that is a wonderful moment you describe!!! gives me a strong urge to feel it!
to feel the beat of the moment through yourself...
...to be brave to wear your inside out.
great piece, A. appreciate the format too.

I would love to hear this as a song to music one day. It is enough that it is a beautiful, intuitive piece, and it could be more. But that's me, wanting more than this moment, so it shall remain as this piece until another moment decides it will be something different:)

Reaching a certain level..Like being meditating level...You cut your soul away from the distortion of life..you seem to be floating out of your body...You get high but not from earthly desires... Its amazing poem...

Authentic poetry... I thought it had stopped existing a long time ago...

That was brilliant
and
I am going to read it again because it rocks.

the jump-cut/overlay splice of text and idea couples in a manner that suggests a closeup moment of that beating and breathing oneness. your constructions are often filmic in effect.

inspirational stuff and i agree with gulnaz about format.
but would be otally thrilled to hear this as a song:)

de ja vu... you have a nice style that creates a world of imaginated escape. feels like trying to escape a past that kept on coming back. although in this process it somehow brings redemption as well. coz it doesnt mean that the past that kept coming back is necessarily awful right?

Dear "A"

These words should be set to music. a singer all my life, I have never written any, just sung everyone else's; however, reading your words i felt like singing them.

And you thought
You could go sight-seeing,
When the city all time
Breathed within you!

Beautiful writing.

Wow A:
I love this. It is as if one sentence depends on the other as they build upon each other. Neither frontward nor backward or sideways, but you just exist in the moment, your senses swimming in all that it is. Yes, there are moments that make us see things for the first time--those are the moments when the inside is about everything. A wonderful feeling of realization. I hear ya. I absolutely love the fragments of your mind. You give us pieces of you and yet, will we ever get all that you are--and with these little pieces, could we build who we think you are--i am building you based upon your words. Dawn

Interesting how you experimented with prose and poetry. I like the prose version better. I think it looks better as a string of sentences instead of the line breaks of the poem. This is just my personal taste. The theme is powerful nonetheless!

Again you make me think of a French writer... His name is Huysmans and he wrote a wonderful novel called "A rebours" (meaning inverse, from the end to the beginning or from the bottom to the top). He was pointing to the importance of the ending in a novel. It makes you remember everything that happened in that novel, you understand and explain everything à rebours with the help of that ending.
