But, there is no rain

The music plays in the background.
All she can see is the storm coming.

The dark clouds settle over the horizon and lay in wait for their signal.
The thunder.

To mark the beginning of the onslaught.
The storm.

A flash of what could have been and what has been.
The lightning.

The music plays for her.
The storm is because of her.
But, there is no rain.

This image reminded me of another similar (though les dramatically effective) on Hints Allegations... http://deepakg.blogspot.com/2005/05/its-raining.html

Loved the palampsestic decriptions in this one...a storm in a tea-cup, an emotional storm brewing up inside her to mirror the stormy weather outside her?

"The storm is beacuse of her.
But there is no rain."

Something waiting to happen...

Humidity. Thats what I see. And strange as this may sound, I got this feeling of claustrophobia from the photograph. I'm not an artist or photogrpaher so please excuse my crazy thoughts!!

even at the cost of being repetitive, i will say
" WOW"

shubhodeep - Thanks. I visited your blog but I can't seem to leave a comment there. Everytime I try, it says 'invalid comment'.

Billy, transience, KJ - Thanks.

Lorena - Thanks. Yes, tears and rain can be equated in this one.

Geetanjali - Will have a look at the blog. Glad you liked it.

mermaid - Yes, something waiting to happen.

Elixir - You can read it for what it is too. ;-)

gulnaz - Thanks. Glad you liked the pic.

Nicole Braganza - The beauty of art is that there are no crazy thoughts, and everyone sees what meaning they can derive from it. Humidity is fine. :-)

stan laurel - It is deceiving isn't it?

Brood Mode - Thanks. I quite liked it myself.

Kripa Shankar - Nice way of reading it! Now read only the text in italics this time.

jenn see - Not a bad idea. Maybe I will.

I guess I'm a bit late this time. Tried the suggestion you gave kripa shankar (and his idea too), and what can I say? - Brilliant!

Deepak - Yes, it is. Thanks for dropping by.

The thunder
The storm
The lightning

But there is no rain.

Raises your hopes...only to have you fall flat on your face.

Yet, isn't that a good thing? No rain! That which should have caused her tears...did not happen!

Joy - I guess it could be. Swings either way. :-)
