The answer

Is it the wind
Or the sea
That is whispering
To me
The horizon
Encased
Between
Two palm trees
Draws closer
And closer
And the answer
Further

oh, you have portrayed an extraordinary, magical sensation of drowning.

tilt, mind, tilt. ^_^

Don't think its a sensation of drowning! The ocean is capable of extremes - unsettling effects and soothing effects .. if you know what I mean! Visited the Atlantic ocean recently. The vastness of the ocean makes life seem so trivial ... and yet it reminds you of each drop of water that finally forms the ocean. It humbles you .. and fills you with pride...Extremes as I see...

I read the ending, but did not detect any frustration or regret. The answer is further, and that's OK. I try so hard to cage it, trap it in a jar like a ladybug, but it can't be simplified.

brilliant use of perspective....leaves me with a feeling of unbalance and this vivid feeling to somehow set the sea right...restore it to its proper balance...

how does one 'drown' beyond the ordinary? past what one readily knows from what one perceives? one 'drowns' and yet breathes, overwhelmed by what one sees -- from which one's mind contemplates. ahh, from vastness, to vastness. ^_^

wow, wonderful post, absolutely love it! evocative, sensual and it makes me think maybe its the questions which matter and not the answers. perhaps the answers are like sirens leading us on our individual journeys.
'is it the sea or the wind that is whispering to me' ....such softness; everchanging answers.
i like the angle of the picture. :) i hv really enjoyed this post...thanks.

and as questions seek but need not answers... so does the waves seek but need not islands to stop them.
go on dreaming.. questioning.. and someday soon who knows, your palm trees may meet (like mine met its pine*.*)

The question is, "do you have a question?" I read this poem and feel relaxed just listening to the wind and the sea calling to me. I am listening, but not focusing on any particular words. Peaceful!

very nice pic.. elicited a feel of total calm.

and the earlier post on shapes of travel was interesting, too. yes, i think it does have something to do with getting too ready to leave, - why u dont look up, when finishing a journey.
