At that moment, when the moment arrived, I had no idea what I was going to say. Have you ever felt this way before? Reaching the moment that you have been waiting for all the time and being left speechless? It is a strange kind of irony when this happens, I can tell you that. And the irony is that you have spent so much time thinking of what you wanted to say only to be left speechless at the moment. But wait, that was not the end of the matter. Is this a philosophical discussion of the beauty of the silence and how everything that you wanted to say was absorbed within your soul and what came out after that was truly heartfelt and beautiful? Nothing like that happened. That only happens in dreams, or to be more precise, daydreams. Even dreams are not so kind to you.

am in dat place. u took de words out of my mouth. have imagined the words and the situation for so long... yet, i step short. am not sure whether i shud step thru. but i think - if i've come up the steps so many times, it must be MEANT for me to open the door at the last? knock, knock.
The best moments are often commemmorated wordlessly.
brilliant photograph, A!absolutely breathtaking stuff!
Awesome Picture! where is it taken? I like the way you have crafted this, the former part reads like a soliloqy and the latter like a dialouge and it emphasises what you are talking about.
Sometimes words are superflous.
when i was reading the post i was making a mental note of all that i wanted to say.....but nw that i'm actually writing a coment....i'm speechless!!
words can be saints or sinners, wonderful or painful. It is the same type of feeling when trying to write while you are uninspired. It is not like the movies, dreams, etc...
livinghigh - Knock and the door shall open! ;-)
Ariel - Yes, they are!
wandering dervish - Thanks. I really like the one you have put up too!
gulnaz - Thanks. Taken outside the window where I was sitting that day. Yes, sometimes words are superfluous. Glad you liked the structure.
la devil - :-)
stan laurel - You are right. It is so difficult to write when you are not inspired.
esclava - *nods back*
sometimes, even when the moment arrives, and you're possibly bursting with speech, it's possibly a good idea to keep quiet, absorb the moment, and let it pass. Somehow I think our minds know that more than we think. Hence sometimes the speechlessness.
Beautiful picture! I like the way you turned your text into a dialogue without even having to change or add anything. Lovely! :)

OMG da pic is absodamnlutely brilliant!!!!
n so r da words:)
Well it sure happens when u are bursting with anxiety or u r eager to just splash the wordsout of u but all u get to hear is silence from u rself.Maybe it is supposed to be like that?but then never try to findout the reason, does one exist? beyond words maybe.
And superb pic there
if my brain were functioning better I would come up with something really insightful to say about this, but it is mush right now (my brain) But it was very well written and it has stirred up some ideas in me, I am just too tired to recognized what they are yet. ;)
Yes. It happens, but not all the time. There are times when you would have rehearsed the reaction a million times in your mind, in your dreams… but when it does happen… you don’t believe its happening.
And I know precisely when this thing will strike me next :-D
PS: your pic and words were awesome like always!
That only happens in dreams, or to be more precise, daydreams. Even dreams are not so kind to you.
i loved these lines. ahh, the needle-prick of reality. *sigh*
being left speechless at just the right moment happens to most of us but i also feel that the silence we feel then is far more eloquent than words..it speaks a 1000 words...more than real words
and what about when 'that' moment arrives which you never thought would arrive, which you not even daydreamt of ...
our reaction is often same.. Speechless!
once again loved the way you rewrote the same words, but more effectively..
Once again I'm amazed at the difference that can be crated by simply altering the structure of your prose - seen first as a prasaic paragraph and then as a dialogue and the effect is so different despite the words being the same!
As for the subject - you've said it boss! And it couldn't be more true - every word of this post rings so true...
Phal - Yes, sometimes it is better to let is pass. But sometimes, it just needs to come out. :-)
Miss Qt, Elixir, Jessica, AmitKen, Geetanjali - Thank you!
Neelima - Sometimes it does exist beyond words. I guess we are looking for that.
J - Thanks. Sometimes it is so surreal even though you have known all long what is going to happen.
the_soulless - Reality does have a 'needle-prick' quality about it! ;-)
Jyotsna - Silence does say a lot.
