When beginnings are not beginnings

Sometimes, beginnings are not beginnings.

The start of something new does not have to mean change. It can be something that has been waiting to happen. And when it happens, it is expected. And because it is expected, it all falls into place. Coming together the way it is supposed to.

Of course, in reality, everything does not happen the way it is supposed to. It starts off the way you want it to, but then life takes over. When life takes over, other things happen. Other things that were waiting in the wings. Little unexpected surprises. Welcome surprises. What you have been waiting for comes together, in the most unexpected of ways.

Beginnings are sometimes just the culmination of things waiting to fall into place and then falling into place.

Would you call yourself a mystic? :)

yes, life is a compilation of lots of little things, all sequential.

very nicely put, august. ;-)
the inverse, of course, is whether endings are endings at all, or merely the beginning of something else.... we run in circles, don't you think?

exactly what I am experiencing these days :o)

pehaps all it needs is a 'trigger', the trigger triggers and then everything falls in line, as if they were only waiting for this trigger to get triggered. :o))

It's so difficult to tell the begining from the endings that you seem to find there are none at all :-)

Anonymous - I don't think I would. ;-) Do drop a link next time you are around.

Zee - And beginnings get lost in that sequence.

livinghigh, luz de la luna - Yes, it's all one big circle, or many circles, weaving into each other.

AmitKen - And sometimes, this trigger is not even much of a trigger but even then it triggers off the beginning.

Phal - Are you thinking of the Smashing Pumpkins song from the OST of .Batman & Robin'?

endlessecho - Thanks.

Queen Mo - Agree. The unexpected is what makes life so exciting.

Life is an endless circle and yes I too feel, beginnings are not beginings ! Just I had felt, that ''our story has no beginning and so no end..''.

Love the Zen-like way of writing :)

Pincushion - Thanks. Even I love Zen!

I was racking my brain wondering where did I read something like this before. I kept knowing that I've read this..most definitely somehwere. If not this similar thinking..but something in the lines of this.

It's Graham Greene's The End of the Affair. Right at the very outset of the novel. :)

I could keep reading, but I better get some sleep in order to see patients tomorrow. I am always terrified of new beginnings, but I am starting to learn that like the river of my name, I flow to where I am either needed or where I need.

PoeticMermaid - Yes, new beginnings are sometimes very scary, but you are right when you say "I flow to where I am either needed or where I need."
