Recline

As the music dissolved into the muffled lights, I lay back. The curtain fluttered, creating psychedelic patterns against the yellow glow.

I was back again. Same place, same position. Things repeat themselves. But this wasn’t a déjà vu. It was a conscious choice. Sometimes, we want things to repeat themselves. To relive old memories. To taste a moment of the past again.

How I wish I could relive some of the moments from the past... but we cant always get what we want, can we?

It's amazing how the little things in life make a difference.
It could be a fragrance or a word, a cuppa on a couch or drive to the beach, a missed call or a Sigh! there i go again....... they all bring back memories dont they?

"Sometimes, we want things to repeat themselves."

Nice!

But on second thoughts ... would U really want it to happen that way? Doesent it loose its significance if it repeats again and again?

really...life does boil down to the minutest of details. overlook them, and you overlook a part of yourself...

Reliving moments which define us...very powerful and intoxicating.

Compelling and captivating photograph. It's like the tunnel of life you contemplated here.
(I breezed in via Garnet's Glittering Muse blog. That 55 word poem sounded like a cool challenge.)

Strangly this reminded me of being a kid and building tents out of sheets, watching the lights and shadows through the fabric

Funny, how sometimes we choose to relive the past, or the past chooses to filter through the curtains of time in a slightly different shade again. I always ask myself, why? I'm beginning to realize that I don't need an answer.

Unbelievable photo .:A:. Just the image itself sets of an intensity. So glad to get over here again ;-)

"To taste a moment of the past again"

the picture reminds me of arabian nights and their faboulous tents! lovely perspective and original too. :)

i was wondering, is it ever possible to taste a moment from the past again? does it ever taste same again?

So true so true. We only live them again through memories.

Love the colors in the picture.

I like this.

Just quoting something I'd written a few days back.

retribution...

sometimes,
we believe not
in forgiveness
we keep those memories alive
scarred,
faded, jaded...
in the dungeons of our heart
and, punish ourselves
for loving thus...

:)

the moment had swept past
a perspective remained
disquiet the calm
in the non happening of life
all that moved
was a veil...aflutter

Sometimes, images are enough. Sometimes the words do the image an injustice. Not this time. It's haunting....

I must get out my camera with a new eye.

great pic! Looks very comfortable, and yes, I do want things to repeat themselves, especially last night.

sometimes tho the past clings to us and never seem to let go. and often when it happens, i succumb.

Ingenious words to complement the picture. I looked at the picture first and was uncertain. You painted a feeling to replace the uncertainty. Splendid!

Feels like I was there too. Flat on the ground with one vodka too many.
And as my head reeled, the Buddha just whispered something in my ear.
And to think it all started with a photograph..
