Drifting memories

The smell wafted
Through the room
Carried by
A trail of smoke
Eyelids close
Sounds drown
The smell
Take over
And becomes
A feeling
The smoke morphs
Into the past
And carries away
A trail of emotions

I felt that one very strongly, it resonates. I am sure anyone who reads that will take a bit of it with them.

lovely picture associated with that in my head... sigh ;-)
PS: loved the pic in the earlier post, by the way - somehow, the effect was a reverse life kind of situation - suddenly, the background seemed all teeming with life and energy, while the humans in front seemed like black statues, lifeless, merely the foreground of a larger life... double sigh
*grin*

So very true. I loved the way you broke at the right point.
The trail never leaves, lingers on.

Garrison Steelle, ubermensch, Jessica - Thanks

Akshay - Yes, smells are usually associated with the past. And some are very powerful.

livinghigh - Thanks. The background being more 'active' than the foreground is what drew me to take that picture. You have captured it very well.

Always that good "spirit" in your creations. You really can create atmospheres. Do you have paper works as well ?
Anyways I'll be passing by again. Ciao!
