Shy of the moon

There is something
That mesmerises me
In this picture

The rawness
Of the bareness
Of the trees

The moon
Shining
So brightly

The stars
Shy
Of the moon

I love the picture!

The stars shy of the moon, wishes for something that can never be.

Interesting perspective. What was illuminating the trees?

Hauntingly lovely..is what comes to my mind..lost and lonely are the emotions it evokes..loved it.

That is haunting, in a slightly macambre way. Like Steele, I'm wondering why the trees are so bright?

my hunch more than one light source!

Queen Mo - Yes, it is mystical. That is what got my attention.

Free Spirit, Pincushion - Thanks. I think the loneliness is a strong emotion that comes out.

Garrison Steelle, Ariel, ubermensch - I guess a combination of overexposure and some background lighting (though not directly on the trees) makes it look illiminated. No flash though.

Pandora - Interesting perspective.

Very nice! Thanks for pointing it out to me. I like the way the trees are so lit up! And the moon... *sigh* she is so beautiful as always :-)

Best Wishes

MMMM! Those tree branches like tangled lace or tentacles dancing or reaching into the night. So many images come to mind from one fantastic photo! (Of course, there's that moonlight, too ;)
