Master of the game

Silence alternates with sound
The silence deafening
The sound intrusive
Slow motion silence
Cuts into
Real life sound
Cuts into
Your imagination

That's evocative. What comes to mind immediately is the varied rush of a nearby freeway...or the sound of ocean waves, crashing then sloshing, roaring then still. There's a feeling of interrupted reverie in this poem.

That reminds me of a zebra . I don't know why ?
Actually I do exactly.
There is Sound and there is Silence. Opposites you would think . But if you where to believe Simon and Garfunkel . Silence has a Sound .

Opposites which are not really opposites but one a condition and the other the lack of it.

Playing tricks.They oftern do.

Silence is almost as intrusive as sound. Kind of like at night before heading to bed, I shut down my computer and the house is completely silent. During the day that sort of thing is almost welcoming, but at night it's deafening, almost to the point where I can't sleep.

Ariel - I can picture all of your situations through this poem.

Queen Mo - "sweet and soft to the ear" :-) That is a new description. Will keep it in mind.

Akshay - the Zebra bit was unintentional. I do believe that silence has a sound.

Pincushion - yes, I do feel like that sometimes when I am alone in a crowd.

superMANA! - nice example. yes, silence is as intrusive as sound!

:-)
